Swapalease.com announces that they have developed and launched a sister web site designed to combat non-official or improper lease transfers, Swapaleasescam.com. Since the business’s inception over a decade ago, Swapalease.com has only promoted and advocated the proper transferring of automotive leases. An official or proper lease transfer is defined as any lease that is transferred following the rules, regulations, and procedures set forth by the leasing company who holds the lease paper. Conversely, a lease transfer scam is an agreement that does not adhere to the policies of the leasing company created by a third party.
Swapaleasescam.com has been designed with several key components in mind. First, the site contains educational lease transfer content detailing both how to correctly complete a lease transfer and the red flags to avoid. Secondly, a list of known scammers is provided that has been researched by Swapalease.com for reference. Thirdly, functionality has been included permitting users to report those companies and or individuals who they believe to be performing fraudulent transactions. Company officials anticipate that consumers and lessors alike will take advantage of the reporting system ultimately enhancing the lease transfer experience for all stakeholders.
Swapalease.com views the new site as a public service announcement and welcomes anyone considering a lease transfer whether a client or otherwise to visit. Initial site feedback is not all positive as a result of known scammers being less than thrilled by the recent exposure they have received.
