Acura RDX crossover arrives in spring priced at $34,320
Drivers looking for lease specials on new SUVs learned this week that Acura will charge $34,320 for the 2013 RDX crossover.
Set to reach American vehicle lease lots early this spring, the new version is smaller and more fuel efficient than its predecessor - getting 23 miles per gallon - a strong selling point in an economy still struggling with high gas prices.
"The right-sized 2013 RDX adds increased comfort, utility and power, along with class-leading fuel economy," said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. "Based on changing consumer preference, small is becoming big in the eyes of today's consumers."
Powered by a new 3.5L V6 engine, the new RDX cranks out 33 more horsepower than the last version. Shoppers who want greater road traction in winter weather can opt to pay $1,400 more for the all-wheel-drive system.
A list of standard features includes heated power front seats, a power moonroof, 360-watt audio system, Pandora internet radio interface and SMS text messaging function. Buyers will also be able to use the keyless access with pushbutton start, active noise control system and rear camera with three viewing angles.
