October Lease Data Reflects Slight Increase on New Lease Deal Prices Entering the Fall Season

Wantalease.com Data Show that Several Brands Have Slightly Increased or Maintained Their Prices on Lease Deals

Cincinnati, OH (October 24, 2018)

Wantalease.com, the nation’s first online marketplace for new lease deals, reports the latest update on lease offerings for the month of October, and forecasts upcoming trends for the month of November. The majority of dealers either slightly increased or maintained their prices on their lease deals heading into the month.

The vehicles with the largest increased monthly payment are the Nissan Sentra with a +22.91% increase, the Toyota Corolla with a +16.36% increase, and the Nissan Altima with a +15.13% increase in price from September. Although the Nissan Sentra saw one of the highest price increases, it still measured as one of the most affordable vehicles to lease in the month of October. The Nissan Sentra is currently offered at $149 per month, while the Toyota Corolla is offered at $229 per month, followed by the Nissan Altima at $239 per month.

A number of other vehicles saw similar price increases including the Chevrolet Impala with a +14.78% increase, the Ford Fusion with a +14.42% increase, and the Ford Focus with a +10.85% increase in price. The Chevrolet Impala is offered at $349 per month, the Ford Fusion is offered at $261 per month, and the Ford Focus is offered at $199 per month.

“More than likely, prices continue to increase over the last few months as OEMs look to offer stronger incentives and overall deals for financing loans as opposed to leases,” said Scot Hall, Executive Vice President of Wantalease.com. “While this may not be the case for all leases, it’s also a reason why our sister marketplace – Swapalease.com – continues to see more activity as people search alternate channels for the right lease deal outside of the dealer showroom.”

Despite price increases on many vehicles, Ram offered a generous discount to its 1500 Crew Cab with a -35.17% decrease from the month of September, bringing the monthly payment down to just $129 per month. Other notable price drops entering the month of October include the Cadillac CTS 2.0 with a -8.17% decrease. The vehicle is offered at $409 per month, followed by the BMW X5 50i at $809.00, down by -6.49% in the month of October.
