There was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for both consumers and Swapalease.com when the website offered a two-day discount promotion over the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.
St. Patrick’s Day is well-known as a party holiday and a perfect time for offbeat promotions – an opportunity that appealed to the Swapalease.com team, which has seen strong sales success recently with promotions at Valentine’s Day and Black Friday. “From the cult-like following of McDonald’s Shamrock shakes to the launch of a Miami-based website for drink deals, St. Patrick’s Day was lucky for more than just leprechauns,” said Scot Hall EVP of Operations at Swapalease.com. “We are always on the lookout for new opportunities to reach out to potential customers, and this was a great chance to do just that while also having a little fun.”

The website’s last promotion, over Valentine’s Day, generated an 83 percent increase in sales. Luck o’ the Irish, indeed.
In addition to the discount, Swapalease.com created an interactive online quiz that invited customers to vote on which luxury vehicle their favorite star of Irish descent might drive. Hundreds of quiz takers offered their opinion on whether Matthew McConaughey and Bono drive BMWs, Mercedes or Aston Martins (for the record, 51% of respondents think Irishman Pierce Brosnan drives an Aston Martin Vanquish, while 26% wonder if Liam Neeson fastens his seatbelt in a Lexus LS600H.)
