Lease Company Information
Leases cannot be transferred in the first 60 days or the final 90 days of the lease term. General Motors Employee leases cannot be transferred in the first 6 months of the lease period.
To be eligible for a lease transfer, the vehicle must be clear of any open recalls. If there is an outstanding recall that the manufacturer currently does not have an available remedy for, the vehicle is not eligible for transfer until that recall is completed. Please visit safercar.gov for information on your vehicle’s status.
Swapalease.com users can now access Ally lease transfer credit applications through their Swap Garage (Account Management Area), once the lease transfer is initiated. Starting 2016 McLaren automobiles will be leased through Ally. Please be advised, additional fees and/or taxes may be due at time of registration. Contact the BMV/DMV in the applicant's jurisdiction for further information regarding potential additional fees and/or taxes.
Please note that each specific leasing company sets their own fees and/or penalties concerning lease end responsibilities such as but not limited to: wear and tear issues, vehicle turn in, security deposit refunds, and potential excess mileage. It is the responsibility of the person leasing the vehicle at lease termination (the individual taking over the lease) to be aware of these specific lease company policies and guidelines. The leasing company information provided is believed to be both current and accurate, but is not guaranteed by Swapalease and could change at any time. Please contact Swapalease if you aware of any changes in the posted leasing company information because it is our goal to provide the most accurate information possible. Also note that the amount that you will be required to pay on a monthly basis may be different than the stated payment amount in the listing due to the fact that leasing companies will not take into account any incentives offered by the lease seller when the lease is transferred. Swapalease recommends contacting your local department or bureau of motor vehicles for questions pertaining to taxes in a lease transfer transaction.
