Negotiating a Lease

IN THIS SECTION

Lease Term

Typically, a lease begins at 36 months and can range up to 72 months.  The most popular leases are between 3-4 years.  Dealers will often try to get you into a longer lease in order to lower your payments.  If a low payment is a crucial element, this option is alright to consider.  Just remember that the longer your lease, the larger your overall liability is.

It is typically a smarter decision to choose a shorter lease if you can financially afford to.
